A Fun Way To Keep Your Shoulders Healthy

If you look through our archives, you’ll find a more comprehensive guide on hanging and brachiating to develop and maintain optimal shoulder mobility.

If full out brachiating on monkey bars isn’t possible, you might try gentle swinging back and forth to any degree that suits you. By adding in slight rotation of your torso as you gently swing, you’ll promote healthy internal and external rotation of your shoulder joints while they are fully outstretched, which is excellent for maintaining ideal shoulder mobility for activities of daily living.

Swinging from gym rings or monkey bars is super fun and relaxing. For suggestions on rings and how to set up a similar workout area in your living space, please feel free to look up how to set up a home gym at our website for recommended resources.
